Let the Wild Rumpus Start

wild one free party pack

My mom and I started planning Nash’s first birthday party a few months before he turned one. We wanted to pick a theme that represented Nash and his personality. He’s a busy boy and our little wild thing! We love the book, “Where the Wild Things are” and thought it would be the perfect theme for his birthday.

We were inspired by Pinterest of course, narrowing down decorations, food, games, and party favors and then got to work. This party was a wild one! After spending so much time planning this party, I figured that it would be beneficial to share it with all of you! I’m sharing 5 blog posts with details and instructions and yes… FREE Downloads for your complete Wild Thing Party Pack!

Nash’s onesie and crown were found on Amazon.

Nash loves all of his Persnickety friends!

GAMES

As party guests arrived, we asked them to put their name in a cup that matched the occupation they thought Nash would have when he grows up. Then we had Nash crawl to the cups and pick one and that is what he wants to be when he grows up. He chose accountant and it was fun to see people cheer for the cup they chose.

Pin the tail on Max!

We had a wild rumpus where the kids performed actions from the book and the adults had to mimic them. The most wild rumpus was the winner!

Cake Smash!

We saved the best for last! The cake smash! At first Nash was hesitant to eat the cake but once he got going he really went for it!

Friends and family came all the way from Seattle to celebrate this wild man!
